I have family down in Chokoloskee Florida who own a Motel and Marina.  They have a beautiful location on a little island between 10000 Islands and The Everglades.  If you are ever interested in offshore fishing, backwater fishing, kayaking or touring the Everglades, I suggest you give them a close look.  I stayed there once and it was a beautiful area and the acommodations were spectacular.
